one drop at a time freezes and expands

how does water wear away stone?

one drop at a time pounds the stone and dissolves it

Are pot protesters really freedom lovers or just dopers wanting to use? And do they hurt the liberty movement? I think they do. And where will they all go if pot is legalized? I suspect they will dispear from the liberty scene because they are really just about doing their drugs and not generally interested in freedom. (yes, I do believe drugs should be legalized)

I’m trying to find a section of your comment that doesn’t have some kind of glaring generalization in it…but somehow I can’t find one.

You’re right, I am speaking very generally. But if we wish to get more supporters for liberty does it make sense to alienate a large portion of the public? And that is my concern. If the public gets the idea that this is just about using dope, we all get washed (and dismissed) with the same brush. How will that help liberty?

Do you call yourself a “libertarian”? No disrespect intended but it seems not. I don’t use pot and I was there. I think not supporting liberty is simply more apathy. Thanks but I disagree.

I am a libertarian. And I support liberty. My concern is that making pot a major issue only cheapens any liberty movement in the eyes of the rest of the country. And will in the long run religate us to the side lines of history as nothing more than a drug party.

Thank you, and I want to make it clear, I thing anyone who wants to smoke a little ganga has every right to without being molested by the police state. It makes me sick that people (who are harming no one else) get hassled or thrown in our filthy prisons for doing something which is no bodies business but their own.

I’m a libertarian and every issue is important to me because they each are intertwined. I wish more folks would just get over their bullshit fears of “what it looks like” and simply do whats right… I’m not a pothead; I’m concerned about my own ability being challenged by people who think they know better how to govern me than myself… and I’m guessing we all can do a better job than any other person or entity. I digress but I still think that EVERY ISSUE concerning that is paramount.
