LATEST L.A. ORDINANCE NEWS
Is it soup yet?
So are Dispensaries in or out? Can they sell medical marijuana? How many of them will remain? These are all questions that are still unresolved after over 2 years of a lot of talk, and at least 5 draft amendments of an ordinance to regulate them, but still no action!
After rigorous city council hearings held over the past weeks, including a 7 ½ hour meeting this past Tuesday it appears that the Council may have gotten past the all dispensaries are illegal so we must shut them all down strategy, and will allow over the counter transactions under the guise of patient reimbursements. Still at issue is the number of dispensaries that will be allowed in total in Los Angeles. Also still on the table is whether the 186 pre-ICO’s, that opened their doors and filed all of the proper paperwork will be given preference over all other collectives in the land.
The next council hearing is December 2nd, and it is likely a new and improved draft ordinance will be submitted for consideration.
